Cauliflower 'All The Year Round Seeds

This cauliflower variety showcases very white, large, tight heads nestled within a frame of robust green leaves. The mature plants reach a height of around 60cm with a spread of about 75cm.

The 'All The Year Round' cauliflower has a mild, nutty flavour with a crisp yet tender texture. It's ideal for a variety of culinary uses including steaming, roasting, mashing, and can be frozen for later use.

With successive sowings, this cauliflower variety yields harvest from spring through to autumn. The mature heads are large and well-formed, with a growing period ranging from 20 to 26 weeks depending on the sowing time.

This is a dwarf variety that can be started in modules or sown directly in a prepared seedbed, indoors or outdoors, allowing for transplanting to their final positions later on.

It thrives in full sun and prefers a well-drained, fertile, and rich soil. Preparation with well-rotted farmyard manure and lime (for acid soils) is recommended to enhance soil structure and prevent clubroot.

Highly reliable, this variety is renowned for its ease of cultivation and adaptability to different sowing and harvesting periods, making it a favoured choice among gardeners.

Sowing can be done from January to June, with transplanting carried out 5 weeks post-sowing or once the frost risk has passed. Regular watering, hoeing to prevent weed establishment, and protective netting or fleece to ward off pests are advised for optimal growth and yield.
